This is a 15-20 minute assembly, PSHE or tutor time session covering what the Prevent strategy is. It includes some videos and discussion points around Prevent and information about how to spot signs of radicalisation. This was originally delivered to KS3 and KS4 but could also be suitable for KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). There are no written tasks in this presentation, it is an overview of these topics in line with the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, SMSC and Fundamental British Values. It could also be used in an assembly or whole school setting as a quick reminder of Prevent and Radicalisation. It can be lengthened or shortened depending on the timing of the session. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. Students reacted well to this session and some important and interesting discussions were had.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12). It covers: Why it is so important to show positive language in school The power of words Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear How we can show positive language What situations we need to show positive language How we can support cyberbullying Code of conduct Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer. The session is all narrated but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide. This fits into the new RSE & Health Curriculum, PSHE & Citizenship, tutor time, whole school activity or a whole school assembly with links to SMSC, Character Education and Fundamental British Values. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly that covers the important issue of communication skills. It can be used for whole school, KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) but was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 8. It contains two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and some discussion activities. These could easily be turned into written activities to last a whole lesson on key skills, careers, PSHE or Citizenship. This is a 10-15 minute tutor time resource about British Values. It could be used for an assembly or PSHE/Citizenship/FBV/SMSC session. It explains what the five British values are, how these should be implemented, a discussion about universal values, a focus on the first two values. - Democracy and the Rule of Law. There are many discussion tasks and these could be written tasks if you wanted to lengthen it to a whole lesson. There are three short videos that are downloaded so will never disappear. This was originally an assembly for KS3-KS5 but can also be used as a tutor time session for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 and is suitable for all year groups (Ages 8-18, Years 4-13). This gives a great overview of British Values and has been positively received by many students.

This is a 15-20 minute tutor time PSHE session on charity volunteering. It can be used as a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12, Years 7-13). It does not have any written tasks just two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and discussion questions so students can find out what they can volunteer for and why they would benefit from voluntary work. This can be lengthened or shortened to fit a tutor time, assembly or a lesson for PSHE, Citizenship, Fundamental British Values, SMSC and Character Education. This is a 10-15 minute assembly for Epilepsy Awareness Day in March 2022. It can also be easily adapted to be used at any other time of the year to raise awarness of epilepsy in your school. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and has been used as a whole school assembly. This is a 15-20 minute presentation to teach students about how to master self-disciple. It gives practical tips, definitions and has a 9 minute video with discussion tasks which is downloaded so it will never disappear! It has no written tasks as it was originally a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3. It is also relevant for KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was received well by many students. It covers the Key Skill Curriculum, the new RSE & Health Curriculum, Character Education, PSHE, Citizenship and can be used as an assembly.

This is a 15 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session about grief and bereavement. It was originally a Year 10 tutor time presentation but is suitable for KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers definitions, different coping strategies and goes through the grieving process. It also has a slide of support for students coping with bereavement and three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and the Keeping Children Safe in Education document.

This is a PowerPoint with different moral questions to make students think. For example, “if you borrow a million pounds are you a millionaire?”, “Can you get lost if you don’t know where you are going.” These are great discussion questions for assemblies, debates or citizenship/PSHE/SMSC provision. They will improve communication skills in tutor time sessions or as starters to lessons. They are appropriate for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (11-18 years old).

This is a 10 -15 minute assembly, tutor time, PSHE or whole school session suitable for KS3-KS4 (Ages 11-16 Years 7-11). It is an introduction covering what cyberbullying is, where and how to get help if you see or suffer from it and where it can take place. There is a downloaded video so it will never disappear. This was originally a Year 7 tutor time PSHE session but it could be an introduction to cyberbullying for a lesson or an assembly.

This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time session about anxiety. It explores ways to help someone suffering with anxiety and how to deal with a panic attack. It incorporates two youtube clips and has a discussion focus. There are no written tasks to complete. This is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 to give them a quick overview of what anxiety is and how we can support people with mental health issues. This could be used as part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum or as part of a standalone session on mental health, PSHE or tutor time resource.

This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly for Children in Need suitable for all year groups from Year 5 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 9-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There is a short youtube clip which is downloaded so it will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers what Children in Need is, who it helps, how and why to help. It also shows the connection with a slide on Fundamental British Values, the UN Rights of a Child and a point of Reflection. There are links to the news and other extension activities looking at quotes which teachers can use or students can have as an extension activity on an online platform or for homework. It also covers what particular things to be careful of e.g. address etc. It includes discussion activities and no written tasks. This is a 15 minute assembly about exam stress suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It is especially useful in the run up to any periods of assessment or exams. It covers different ways and tips to manage exam stress by three downloaded short video clips that will never disappear! It has some discussion questions but this session could be lengthened by students writing notes and their own revision plan if you needed it to last a whole lesson. It was originally a Year 9 tutor time PSHE session about the importance of looking after student’s mental health in the run up to an assessment period. This is a 15-30 minute tutor time session celebrating deaf awareness week. However, it can also be used for deaf awareness at any time of the year. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12). It was originally a Citizenship session for the whole school.
